​Washington Fire Department
The Washington Fire Department covers the City of Washington, Washington Airport and works in cooperation with the Washington Community Fire Protection District. The department is an ISO Class 3.
The fire department responds out of three fire stations in the City. In addition, the department has a 14 acre training facility with a 5 story training tower, two burn rooms, a state of art classroom with webinar broadcasting capabilities a propane tank and propane pit that are both fueled by natural gas.

The Washington Fire Department has the following fleet of equipment:
  • Three front line engines
  • One 85' ladder platform/quint
  • One Heavy Rescue
  • Two Marine Units
  • One Reserve Engine
  • One Air Cascade Unit
  • One multi-use pick-up
  • One Chief's Car
