Engine 8110
Engine 8110 is a 2009 Pierce Saber with a 1,250 GPM Waterous pump and a 750 gallon water tank. The truck carries 1,000 feet of large diameter hose, 1,000 of 3" supply hose and over 1,800 feet of hand line attack hose. The truck is designed to pump on both a pressurized fire hydrant supply or draft from a portable tank or static water supply.

Mobile Water Supply 8123
Tanker 8123 is a 2001 Freightliner/SEMO tanker. The truck has a 500 GPM Darley pump and a 2,000 gallon elliptical tank. The truck has a 2,100 gallon portable tank as well as drafting support equipment. The tank is equipped with a 10” dump valve that will empty the truck in under 2 minutes.
The tanker provides a water supply in locations that do not have a pressurized water source (fire hydrants). The truck is often used to “shuttle” water from a fire hydrant to the scene of a fire. |
Ladder 8122
Ladder 8122 is a 2007 Pierce Arrow XT with a Pierce 85’ elevating platform. The truck is equipped with a 1,250 GPM Waterous pump and a 465 gallon water tank. The truck is equipped as both an engine and a hook and ladder. The truck carries multiple type and size hooks as well as 172 feet of ground ladders. In addition, the truck has ventilation, RIT and forcible entry compliment of tools. The ladder’s primary response is all automatic alarms and fires in the City.

Heavy Rescue 8126
Rescue 8126 is a 2019 Pierce Saber with a Heavy Rescue body. The truck has a 25 KW PTO driven generator and a light tower. The truck carries over 300 tons of air bag lifting capability, auto extrication equipment, high/low angle rescue equipment, confined space equipment, air cascade, water rescue equipment, hazardous material equipment and fire fighting truck support equipment. The truck is essentially a gigantic tool box and reference library on wheels. The rescue responds to all fires, automatic alarms, rescues and special calls. The Rescue Squad operated Hurst High Pressure Jaws of Life and can run four tools simultaneously.

Fire Station 3
Engine 8134
Engine 8134 is a 2013 Pierce Saber with a 1,250 GPM Waterous pump and a 750 gallon water tank. The truck carries 1,000 feet of large diameter hose, 1,000 of 3" supply hose and over 1,800 feet of hand line attack hose. The truck is designed to pump on both a pressurized fire hydrant supply or draft from a portable tank or static water supply.
The engine’s primary response area is the west of the city and the west portion of the Washington Community Fire Protection District from Pottery Road to west of Highway 185. |
Brush Unit 8138
Brush Truck 8138 is a 2001 GMC 3500 with a custom flat bed. The truck carries 200 gallons of water and a Waterous pump. The truck has a pre-piped booster line for fighting brush fires as well as a 1 ½” handline. The truck carries a trash pump for drafting water as well as hand tools and pump cans for brush fires.

Engine 8144

The truck carries 1,000 feet of large diameter hose, 1,000 of 3" supply hose and over 1,800 feet of hand line attack hose. The truck also carries Hurst Jaws of Life auto extrication tools and two sets of air bags.
The engine’s primary response area is the east of the city and the east portion of the Washington Community Fire Protection District from the City limits to east of Jones Lane. |
UTV Brush Unit 8148
Brush Unit 8148 is a Kubota RTV equipped with a Kimtek slide in fire fighting unit. The tank holds 80 gallons of water and has a self-priming pump. The unit carries small hand tools and is used to access brush fires deep into woods or used in areas of high pedestrian traffic.

Pumper Tanker 8163 is a 2020 Spartan Alexis equipped with a 1250 GPM pump and a 1,800 gallon tank. The truck has a 2,100 gallon portable tank as well as drafting support equipment.
This apparatus provides both first in engine company capabilities and providing a water supply in locations that do not have a pressurized water source (fire hydrants). |

Franklin County Hazardous Material Team Equipment
The Franklin County Homeland Security Team (HSRT) received equipment through the St. Louis Area Regional Response System (STARRS) and funded by Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI). The Federal program provides funding to support emergency response assets to support urban areas. The truck on the left is a mobile command post with multiple radio operator positions utilized on multi-agency or large scale events. The truck on the right is an emergency response vehicle that contains reference materials, haz mat suits, monitoring equipment, tools and equipment for actively plugging and patching leaks of leaking chemicals and gases. The HSRT team is a county wide initiative throughout Franklin County.
